ABSTRACT

Loneliness among mothers raising children is a recognized societal issue in Japan. The Universal Home Visit Program for Families with Infants (“Hello Baby”) has been implemented nationwide to serve as an initial point of contact. This secondary analysis of municipal evaluation data showed that most mothers received a visit and reported being encouraged to talk with someone afterward, suggesting that the Hello Baby program may function as an entry point for expanding parenting support networks.
