ABSTRACT

Background:

Background:

Remote health monitoring and involvement of technology has emerged as a transformative paradigm in healthcare, particularly in the context of caregiving. This technology facilitates continuous patient surveillance without the need for physical proximity, offering a new layer of support and reassurance to caregivers. Crucially, effective caregiving is fundamental to healthcare as caregivers' behaviors directly influence patient health outcomes, and their well-being is essential; when caregivers experience poor health, their capacity to provide care for patients diminishes.

Objective:

Objectives: This study aims to investigate the impact of health monitoring technologies on the well-being of caregivers, with a specific focus on parents caring for individuals with chronic health conditions.

Methods:

Methods:

We conducted a systematic review of existing literature, focusing on key themes related to caregiver stress, benefits, and challenges associated with remote monitoring technologies.

Results:

Results:

Our findings highlight how remote health monitoring technologies can significantly reduce the physical and emotional burden on caregivers, allowing for more flexible and less stressful management of care responsibilities. This shift not only enhances patient safety and health outcomes but also makes caregiving more easier, responsive, and attuned to the needs of both patients and their caregivers.

Conclusions:

Conclusions:

As remote monitoring technology continues to evolve, its integration into standard care practices promises to further transform the caregiving landscape. This study provides valuable insights into the complex interplay between technology and caregiver well-being, especially for parents of individuals with chronic health conditions.
