ABSTRACT

In this study, we sought to assess the feasibility of mobile health tracking in patients with rib fractures by using a hospital-approved smartphone application to monitor post-discharge recovery. While we experienced no technical or user-reported issues with application use, we encountered several barriers to successful implementation of this tool which we suggest addressing in future work by employing an implementation science framework to optimize the use of this technology and improve post-injury care.
