Can LLMs replace therapists? Evaluating performance at simple CBT tasks
ABSTRACT
We evaluated whether chatGPT-4 and Bard could perform simple tasks required of CBT therapists – explaining, identifying and reframing thoughts affected by cognitive distortions – finding variation in their performance across different tasks.
