ABSTRACT
Pigmentary disorders have been implicated in causing psychosocial turmoil in patients due to its ability to cause cosmetic disfigurement. Lichen planus pigmentosus presents as hyperpigmented patches on sun exposed areas. On the other hand, vitiligo is a chronic disorder appearing as depigmented patches on the skin. Its exact pathogenesis is unknown but various theories have been hypothesized regarding its occurrence. Although usually seen a separate disease entities, we report a case of a patient with lichen planus pigmentosus coexisting with vitiligo. Patient was treated with low dose oral isotretinoin and topical tacrolimus 0.1% ointment which provided good clinical outcomes.
