ABSTRACT
We here discuss ways to tackle the grand challenge of integrating health and social care delivery with the help of digital technologies. We argue that previous attempts have largely failed to achieve their objectives due to implementers and decision makers not paying sufficient attention to the complex socio-organizational dimensions of change associated with initiatives. We provide an overview of which dimensions need to be considered and hope that these will help to inform strategic decisions going forward, thereby contributing to maximizing the chances of successful initiatives.
