ABSTRACT

Digital self-management technologies are increasingly common given their potential to improve health outcomes and mitigate demands on clinical services. This study evaluated myCOPD in 113 participants from predominantly remote and rural communities for up to one year. Although popular, myCOPD was not associated with reduced hospital admissions, inpatient bed days or lower health service needs. Further subgroup analysis did however suggest that very high myCOPD usage may benefit some individuals.
