Complexity-based analysis of human physiological conditions in normal and virtual reality (VR) conditions:
ABSTRACT
Education and learning are the most important topics in all universities. For this purpose, lecturers use different tools to grab the attention of students and improve their learning ability. Virtual Reality (VR) is referred to the subjective sensory experience of being immersed in a computer mediated world. In this research, we analyze the effect of Virtual Reality (VR) condition on students’ learning ability and physiological condition. For this purpose, we show six sets of videos (three videos in 2D condition and three videos in 3D condition) and analyze the learning ability of students by asking some questions. In addition, we analyze the reaction of brain and facial muscle of students in both 2D and 3D conditions using fractal theory, in order to investigate their attention to the videos. Based on the obtained results, the learning ability of students increases in 3D condition compared to 2D condition. In addition, analysis of physiological signals shows that students pay more attention to 3D videos compared to 2D videos. The employed method of analysis in this research can be extended to analyze other physiological signals of subjects and link them to virtual reality condition. vfd vdfvdf vfd vfd
