Efficient Resource Allocation and Job Scheduling for Improving the Throughput of the SDN-A Review
ABSTRACT
The traditional Job Management System(JMS) handles only physical resources as computational resources. Computational resources are allocated to a job as computing nodes in HPC (High-Performance Computing) cluster system and the job procedures are implemented directly on allocated computing nodes. It is realized that the throughput of the SDN is enhanced only if it possesses better resource allocation and scheduling criteria. Thus in this review, it is sketched about various effective resource allocation schemes along with better job scheduling methods. On the same time, the lagging in each method are discussed and from that, the solution for improving the throughput of the system is found out. Thus this review may overlay way to formulate a better and well-organized Resource allocation and Job scheduling scheme for improving the throughput of the SDN whereas in turn the performance of the system also said to be enhanced.
