ABSTRACT
Background:
Common mental disorders, including anxiety and depression, require scalable, targeted digital interventions to alleviate symptoms, minimize chronicity and severity, and eventually diminish disease burden.
Objective:
This study aims to examine the efficacy of a symptom-cluster-matched digital problem-solving therapy (PST) intervention for adults experiencing depressive and anxiety symptoms.
Methods:
This study will recruit adults exhibiting symptoms of depression and anxiety from a mental health clinic in Wuhan. Eligible participants will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive either an 8-week symptom-cluster-matched digital PST intervention or psychoeducation. The primary outcomes are depressive and anxiety symptoms. Secondary outcomes encompass functional impairment, sleep disturbance, and quality of life.
Results:
NA
Conclusions:
The findings will yield significant insights into viable techniques for the implementation of personalized and precision psychiatric programs in clinical environments. Clinical Trial: ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT06350201).
