Formulation Modification of Yoniprakshalan Kwatha as an Intimate Wash (YOSHA) and their Comparative Quality Control Assessment and in Vitro Evaluation of Antimicrobial Activity: A Study Protocol
ABSTRACT
Background:
Most women at some point in their life experience vaginal itching, which is a prevalent and often harmless ailment. Numerous diseases, long-term medications like OC pills, STDs, hormonal fluctuations throughout time, and unhygienic vaginal environments can all contribute to these symptoms. If left untreated, this condition can lead to severe difficulties or even death. Even with these effective medicines, they frequently have extremely unpleasant side effects that can worsen the underlying illness.
Objective:
i) To prepare Yoniprakshalan kwatha as per the reference of Yogratnakar and its modified dosage form Yosha. ii) To assess the quality control parameters of Yonoprakshalan kwatha and Yosha. iii) To investigate the antimicrobial effects of Yonoprakshalan kwatha and Yosha. iv) To compare the antimicrobial activity of Yosha and yoniprakshalan kwatha.
Methods:
Raw medication will be sourced from institutional Rasashala and undergo primary authentication and verification by taxonomists. After it has been prepared, the medicine will undergo quality control and antimicrobial profile testing.
Results:
The research will evaluate yoniprakshalan kwatha and yoniwash (YOSHA) In-vitro assessment will be tested for antimicrobial activity using one-way ANOVA.
Conclusions:
Pharmaceutical and analytical study of yoniprakshalan kwatha and modified form as intimate wash will provide the standard parameters. Clinical Trial: MGACHRC [IEC/Jun -2024/854]
