ABSTRACT
Background:
Several studies have demonstrated the benefits of simulation in improving interventional procedures. Endovascular treatment of peripheral lesions has become increasingly widespread.
Objective:
This study aims to evaluate the impact of simulation training through a performance score according to the specialty.
Methods:
This is a quasi-experimental observational study. We propose this study protocol to be carried out at the simulation center of the Faculty of Medicine of Sfax, using high-fidelity mannequins.
Results:
We will include 60 participants, fellows from three specialties: cardiology, radiology, and cardiovascular surgery. All learners will receive the same simulation training cycle with five clinical scenarios, each with different objectives. We will compare the scores among the three groups
Conclusions:
This study will be the first to evaluate the impact of high-fidelity simulation on learning angi-oplasty for peripheral vascular lesions, according to specialty Clinical Trial: PACTR202110633346282
