ABSTRACT

This study explored gender bias in AI's clinical decision-making for coronary artery disease (CAD) using GPT-4. Findings indicated that the presence of a psychiatric comorbidity caused GPT-4 to prioritize CAD risk differently between genders, suggesting potential gender bias and emphasizing the need for further investigation regarding its use for healthcare.
