Efficacy and safety of Pediatric Massage for Allergic rhinitis: Protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis
Background:
Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a disease that seriously affects children's daily lives. Pediatric massage is widely used in clinical practice for the treatment of this disease and has achieved good therapeutic effects. However, the effectiveness, safety, and advantages of this method have not been confirmed by high-quality meta-analysis. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of pediatric massage therapy for pediatric AR patients.
Objective:
This systematic review protocol is designed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Pediatric Massage in treating children with AR.
Methods:
Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) related to Pediatric Massage treatment of Allergic rhinitis will be retrieved from the Chinese or English databases or the Clinical Trial Register. These databases include CNKI, Wan Fang, CBM, VIP, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Medline. We will consider articles published in English or Chinese. If the inclusion criteria have been fulfilled, our team will utilize Revman 5.3 software provided by the Cochrane Collaborative Network for this systematic review and meta-analysis.
Results:
The objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive scientific evaluation of the efficacy and safety of Pediatric Massage therapy for AR.
Conclusions:
The results of this systematic review and meta-analysis will be published in a peer-reviewed journal, which will provide evidence and references for clinicians to use Pediatric Massage therapy to treat AR.
ClinicalTrial:
The system review program has been registered on the PROSPERO website (the registration number is CRD42023452842). If there are any adjustments during the entire study period, we will promptly revise and update the detailed information in the final report.
