Telepsychiatry in the post pandemic feature: results from patient and clinician survey
ABSTRACT
Background:
Telepsychiatry has become much more widely established due to the public health emergency posed by the COVID19 pandemic.
Objective:
Our paper discusses the telepsychiatry model adopted at UConn Health, and explores the success of said model.
Methods:
We conducted anonymous surveys of both psychiatry clinicians as well as patients, collecting information on their satisfaction with telepsychiatry visits.
Results:
We found that telepsychiatry visits were widely accepted by both clinicians and patients, including older adults.
Conclusions:
Telepsychiatry is a valuable way to increase access to care and is widely accepted by both clinicians and patients.
