Response to "Online Antenatal Care During The COVID-19 Pandemic: Opportunities and Challenges"
ABSTRACT
We would like to draw attention to the important role face to face antenatal care consultations play in enabling professionals to screen for Domestic Abuse. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the proposals put forward by Wu et al surrounding delivery of antenatal care online, we suggest that these interfaces should acknowledge this. Incorporating tools for screening and reporting of domestic abuse into any applications developed could help to improve safety of women in these vulnerable situations.
