Development and Utilization of "NEPWA" Media in Education and Health Promotion Course Using Gagne’s Model of Instructional Design on Nursing Students: Research and Development
ABSTRACT
Background:
Online learning media contains interesting features with the concept of the learning management system that has been proven in previous research studies to support the learning process of nursing students. However, its potential as a learning support information media using one of the learning methods by utilizing mobile still needs to be further investigated.
Objective:
To develop and use NEPWA media in education and health promotion courses for nursing students
Methods:
Research and development (R&D), with the development of NEPWA media using the ADDIE model approach and quantitative research with a descriptive design and pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest has been carried out in the Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta, a total of 39 undergraduate students nursing, the second year participating in this study. Pretest-posttest studies have been conducted to measure changes in the dependent variable and posttest studies on the independent variables.
Results:
Student knowledge variable (n=39), after using NEPWA media, there was a significant increase (knowledge, p = 0,000). The satisfaction of the learning process using Gagne's instructional design by students shows that the majority of students are satisfied, with an average score of ≥3, and the results of the NEPWA media system usability scale (SUS) measurement can be said to be of good use and acceptable to the user, with a mean score of 72,24.
Conclusions:
