ABSTRACT

This paper reviews current issues to applying Blockchain technology in healthcare. It illustrates the various ways Blockchain can solve current healthcare issues in three main arenas: Data Exchange, Contracts, and Supply Chain Management. It presents several current and projected uses of Blockchain technology in the healthcare industry. It then predicts which of these applications are likely to be adopted quickly and gives a supply chain example of tracking transportation of transplant organs.
