ABSTRACT

This Author's Reply responds to a Letter to the Editor regarding the tutorial "Inclusive Medical Spanish Education to Address Bias in Clinical Communication" (JMIR Med Educ 2026;12:e98398). It agrees that Spanish language proficiency and inclusive clinical communication are complementary competencies, frames their combined assessment as a question of entrustment, and proposes teaching and assessing interpreter-transition judgment as a clinical safety skill.
