ABSTRACT

Background:

The study's population encompasses workers from various sectors, reflecting the broad impact of digital mental health interventions. The research focuses on how the integration of digital technologies, such as wearable devices and AI, is transforming mental health management by offering greater flexibility, accessibility, and personalization. This includes the potential of these technologies to assist in both physical and mental health care, emphasizing the holistic well-being of workers in the modern workplace.

Objective:

The primary objective of this comprehensive study is to delve into the latest trends in digital mental health management, with a particular emphasis on the utilization of cutting-edge technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) wearable devices and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The study seeks to understand how these technologies are being integrated into mental health care, their effectiveness, and the potential benefits they offer in terms of stress management, well-being enhancement, and overall mental health improvement. By focusing on the workplace, this research aims to provide insights into how digital technologies can be harnessed to support the mental health and productivity of employees, addressing the growing need for innovative solutions in the face of escalating work-related stress and mental health challenges.

Methods:

Methods:

Employing a systematic review approach, this study thoroughly assesses the application trends of emerging technologies in digital mental health management. The research conducted extensive literature searches across multiple databases, including Pubmed, Psyclnfo, Scopus, to identify relevant studies evaluating the impact of interventions on employee mental health and well-being. To ensure the rigor and reliability of the research, predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria were strictly applied. Two independent reviewers conducted study screening, data extraction, and quality assessment to minimize bias and ensure the validity of the findings. Outcome data related to stress management, well-being enhancement, and overall mental health improvement were meticulously extracted and subjected to systematic review. This approach allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the overall effectiveness of the interventions studied.

Results:

Result:Based on the documents provided, we can conclude that: Digital Mental Health Interventions (DMHIs) in the workplace have shown positive effects, particularly in reducing stress, anxiety, and depressive symptoms. Among these interventions, 66% incorporate personalization elements, with personalized content and user communication being the most popular methods, accounting for 32% and 30% respectively. While personalization through decision rules and user choice are relatively common, the use of machine learning (ML) is minimal, at only 3%. These findings highlight the potential of digital technologies in providing personalized mental health support and point to the need for future research to address long-term effectiveness evaluation and optimization of personalization practices.

Conclusions:

Conclusions:

The findings of this study are poised to guide corporations in the development and implementation of more effective mental health strategies. By leveraging the insights gained from the analysis of emerging technologies, companies can better support the well-being and productivity of their workforce. The study's conclusions highlight the potential of digital mental health interventions to offer innovative, personalized, and accessible solutions to the pressing challenges of workplace stress and mental health.
