Establishing a Standardized Training Program for Endoscopic Robotic Surgeons in China
ABSTRACT
Abstract:As a rapidly developing high-tech medical technology, endoscopic surgical robots can achieve flexible and precise operations, improve the stability and safety of surgery, and have a wide range of application scenarios in various minimally invasive surgeries. Developing a standardized training program for endoscopic robotic surgeons is an important prerequisite for achieving intraoperative safety and standardized operation. We conducted an in-depth study on the training program of endoscopic robotic surgeons in China. Based on the current status and actual needs of endoscopic surgical robot operation training in China, and according to the operation characteristics and difficulty of endoscopic surgical robots, we put forward a modular and phased training concept, proposed a training program and a new scoring scale suitable for endoscopic surgery robot training in China. This training program will help to improve the standardization and safety of endoscopic robotic surgery in China. We established a surgical robot training base in Lin-gang special area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, to implement the training program in China.
