Current challenges and ethical hurdles of integrating ChatGPT in radiology

  • Shruti Kumar

ABSTRACT

The introduction of ChatGPT, a large language model (LLM) developed by OpenAI, and its integration into the field of radiology represents a significant advancement in medicine. This paper explores the current challenges and ethical hurdles of integrating ChatGPT in medical imaging. These include potential inaccuracies in medicine related content, managing patient privacy and data security, addressing potential biases, dealing with ethical and legal issues, and bridging gaps in Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy among healthcare professionals. This review aims to provide an overview of the integration of AI with medical imaging, while highlighting the importance of equitable access and ethical use of AI tools in healthcare.
